05/09 and 05/10
A quick layover in Kolkata helps me recharge and see some classic sites in the city with my Aunt and Uncle including a driving tour, the Vivekananda Temple and Math, and the Indian Museum which includes some contemporary Bengali art. I also consume mass quantities of misty which are delicious but deadly.
I then board a midnight flight to Kolkata on Singapore Air. The flight is amazing - what service on Singapore!!! I also go into shock upon entering the Singapore airport for my layover...It's essentially the nicest mall I've ever seen in my life with free internet terminal scattered about. I realize I have spent too much time in remote mountain lodges for the past three weeks...
